Sunshine, glorious florals, and classic English styling in Oxfordshire.
What more could a photographer want? Well, I was lucky enough to shoot Anisha and Arun's intimate wedding ceremony at the Old Swan Minister Mill as my first U.K. wedding earlier this year and it was nothing short of stunning. Anisha reached out to me shortly after moving to Oxford asking me to cover her special day that was only to be attended by close family and friends; a special affair that required a candid and discrete approach across the afternoon. Honestly, I could not have wanted for a more picture perfect couple who executed classic style in such an honest and down-to-earth manner. Just two people in absolute love celebrating it with a sincere gathering of wonderful people in a picture perfect setting. Much love to you awesome folk! -Mathieu

Anna and Chris - what gems!
It's not every week you get invited down to one of the most beautiful parts of Victoria to shoot, be greeted with some nice red vino, and watch a beautiful couple let go of their inhibitions like these two did. As part of getting to know Anna and Chris before their wedding day next March we teed up a little evening shoot in Airey's Inlet along Australia's Great Ocean Road, and as soon as they stepped out of the car down the stairs to Eagle Rock Marine Sanctuary, Anna and Chris lit the place up. We stayed on at the beach until the sky turned a deep blue, and as a final bit of awesomeness they bravely jumped in for a post sunset swim in the very frosty water. Massive shout out and thanks to Chris and Anna for being so awesome to work with and getting me back to Australia (along with a few other couples) next March for their big day. I can't wait! -Mathieu Me - "Looks like it's going to be raining for our shoot. Are you up for a bit of getting wet?"
Sophie - "Oh yeah that's not a worry at all! We're from Ireland and England- we're not afraid of a few raindrops " YES! YES! YES! I had the pleasure of working with Sophie and Ritchie last week only days before they were set to venture off to the UK to be wed. For this shoot it quite literally rained, hailed and shined for us and these two embraced the elements with pure devotion. Running in and out of the scarce cover from the rain for various snaps was such a blast, and Sophie and Ritchie absolutely shone throughout it. You really can't beat their two smiles, right? Thank you for an incredible photographic experience, Sophie and Ritch! UPDATE: You can see this amazing post featured here by Love My Dress UK.
Well would you look at these two sweethearts. Danika and Colin came all the way from their new home of Cambridge, England, in order to have a wonderfully unique DIY wedding in Danika's home city of Adelaide, A.K.A 'RAdelaide'. From the get-go it was an 'all hands on deck' approach, with wedding members pitching in during the lead-up to their big day helping create decorations and even the wedding cake! This was all topped off with amazing sets of venues like Tin Cat Cafe, and among its surrounds the Rundle Street Art Project that gave us numerous unique backdrops for photos. SO much so, that we ended up shooting other couples and guests during some down time with various pieces. Danika and Colin are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet and their love during the wedding was certainly contagious. They're two scientists with a flair for life and great, unique experiences, and their day was certainly an extension of that shared by everyone who attended. If you've never cried at a wedding before this was definitely the event that would crack the seal, again, and again. |
